Northern Labs has been a part of the Manitowoc community since 1946. We have a long-standing belief that our people are the beating heart of our company. Many folks retire from Northern Labs with well over 30 years under their belt and they continue, as retirees, to be an important part of our family.

Mission Green

Northern Labs recognizes that we affect the environment on a daily basis, as individuals and as a company. We are committed to continually improving our practices and minimizing any impact Northern Labs has on the environment. We seek to be a leading chemical manufacturer in environmental compliance and safety.

Environmental Compliance: We have contracted with and are audited annually by environmental consultants. They oversee all environmental compliance operations and provide guidance on environmental programs.

Hazardous Waste Management: Over 90% of our hazardous waste is sent off-site to be recycled into fuel blending operations. We have an active waste minimization program in place and operate our own in-house waste treatment process.

Solid Waste Management: All office paper, newspapers and corrugated are recycled through local recycling centers. All scrap plastic is recycled either in-house or at a local recycling center. Glass bottles are reused as much as possible, and broken glass is recycled at the local recycler. All scrap aluminum is recycled. We also maintain a pallet recycling program.
